These Terms of Use ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] ("ShowNora," "Nora," "we," "us"), governing your access to and use of the ShowNora website and Nora AI assistant (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Nora is a software tool that uses artificial intelligence to help you organize, summarize, and draft communications related to your personal situation, including divorce and family law matters.
Nora does not provide legal advice, and using Nora does not create an attorney-client relationship between you and ShowNora, Nora, or anyone associated with them. Nora is not a licensed attorney, is not supervised by one on a per-case basis, and nothing Nora generates — summaries, timelines, draft messages, or explanations — should be treated as a substitute for advice from a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. Laws vary by state and country, and AI-generated output can be incomplete, outdated, or simply wrong. For any decision with legal, financial, custody, or safety consequences, consult a licensed attorney.
You understand that AI-generated content can contain errors, omissions, or misjudgments of tone, fact, or legal significance. You voluntarily assume all risk associated with reviewing, relying on, sending, or acting on any output from the Service. You remain solely responsible for reviewing anything Nora drafts before you send it, file it, or otherwise act on it, and for any consequences of doing so.
You're responsible for the accuracy of the information you provide, for keeping your login credentials secure, and for all activity that happens under your account. Tell us right away if you believe your account has been compromised.
You agree not to use the Service to harass or threaten another person, to violate a protective order, to submit content you don't have the right to share, to attempt to break or reverse-engineer the Service, or to use it for any unlawful purpose.
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, OR NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI OUTPUT WILL BE ACCURATE OR COMPLETE.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] AND ITS OWNERS, EMPLOYEES, AND CONTRACTORS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, OPPORTUNITY, OR GOODWILL, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING FROM THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US IN THE 12 MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM, OR (B) [PLACEHOLDER AMOUNT].
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless [COMPANY LEGAL NAME] from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable attorney's fees) arising from your use of the Service or your violation of these Terms.
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy. Documents and messages you upload are used to provide the Service to you; see the Privacy Policy for details on storage, retention, and third-party processing (including any AI model providers used to power Nora).
We may suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll provide notice (such as an in-app notice or email) before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of [STATE/JURISDICTION], without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles. [Add arbitration/venue clause if desired.]
